Design and deployment of a Tier 1 Internet Service Provider network for a large South African cellular provider:

This project involved the complete building of a Tier 4 data centre facility as well as a complete network infrastructure deployment consisting of a core network utilising Cisco GSR and CRS-1 devices. This also consisted of an edge services network utilising Cisco ASR devices and GSR devices for the edge. There was a core switching network utilising a range of Cisco switches including Nexus 7000, Nexus 5000 and 6500 switches. Finally, access to the network was created through the use of various access technologies including Metro Ethernet, ADSL, 3g/HSDPA and Leased Lines.

Jaaza Consulting also assisted in the complete development of the services from a technical service development and sales and marketing perspective including the associated business processes.

Jaaza Consulting also assisted in the building of a 24/7 Network Operations Centre and assisted in the development of the required systems and processes as well as network tools, documentation and training for the support staff

Design and deployment of a DWDM Fiber Optic network with Metro Ethernet and SDH Services:

Jaaza Consulting designed and deployed a DWDM Fiber Optic network for a large publicly listed systems integration company who wanted to move into telecommunication services.

The network was built using Cisco ONS devices with DWDM ROADMs for the optical layer and Cisco Xponder cards for the Metro Ethernet services layer.

In addition, we deployed Huawei SDH devices to integrate into the Cisco DWDM network to provide the SDH services capability.

We then integrated the new optical network into the existing core network and upgraded the core network to add redundancy and resiliency to make it a Service Provider grade network.

Jaaza Consulting provided all the training and documentation to the existing support staff and assist in the new service development for the sales and marketing of the new services.
